Sæplast, a brand of Berry Global, is launching three new polyethylene pallets, offering a safe, easy-handling and hygienic storage and transport solution that is able to cope with the tough conditions of food processing factories and warehouses.
The highly durable reusable pallets, which measure 120cm in length and 100cm wide, can withstand rough handling, extremes of temperature from -30°C to +60°C and frequent washdown. Available in flat top and raised lip versions, they can be easily manoeuvred with a pallet jack or forklift, and their light weight allows them to be stacked by hand. Standard features include an imprinted serial number for product identification and traceability.
The variety of designs, and their long-lasting, frost-resistant and easy to clean construction make the pallets the ideal choice for many markets including food, beverage and pharmaceuticals to replace more traditional materials such as wood. In particular, the Sæplast pallets are able to reduce the risk of bacteria cross contamination and provide a much longer lifespan. Made from polyethylene,
the pallets are also able to be recycled at end of life, where facilities are available,
with the material used to manufacture various new products.
