Sæplast does not have any operations in Russia

Sæplast's management would like to announce that the company has no operations in Russia. The company does not have an office in Russia and no employees work for the company in that country. Sæplast has been selling containers to Russia for many years, either directly, or through agents and / or distributors who work on their own, but since Russia invaded Ukraine, no products have been sold or delivered from Sæplast to the Russian market. Allegations about Sæplast's operations and trade with Russia are therefore incorrect. The company's management has tried to convey this message to those at Yale University who have compiled a list of companies with operations in Russia, which the Icelandic media have quoted, but without success. Furthermore, this message has been communicated to the Ambassador of Ukraine in Iceland through the Iceland Chamber of Commerce.
